Charles Dickens Museum & Mail Rail Christmas Train
Tuesday 17th December
‘Food Glorious Food’…..today we step into the world of Dickens and learn how food shaped many of his stories, and his life.
This family friendly exhibition lets us experience his house as both a servant or a guest, with puzzles, smell jars and soundscapes to engage all the senses. We will discover how a dinner party might be prepared and what Dickens and the people in his life (both real and imaginary) had to eat.
We will then head to the Postal Museum to explore how our letters are sent out at Christmas, and take a ride on the Mail Rail Christmas train!
